Our Mission

We exist to empower women and youth in agriculture, creating sustainable communities and ethical supply chains. At AgroCINC, we are focused on providing ethical sourcing for global manufacturers and empowering women and youth in rural communities through sustainable farming practices, fair trade principles, and equitable opportunities.

AgroCINC is more than just a supplier of agricultural products; we are pioneers of positive change in the agricultural industry. Our unique value proposition lies in our unwavering commitment to gender equality, youth empowerment, and sustainable agriculture.

  • Empowering Women (SDG 5): AgroCINC champions women in agriculture. We provide resources, training, and fair market access to women farmers, promoting gender equality (SDG 5).
  • Investing in Youth (SDG 4 & 8): The future of agriculture is young! AgroCINC equips young farmers with mentorship, skills training, and market connections. This empowers them to lead and succeed (SDG 4 & 8).
  • Sustainable Farming (SDG 2 & 15): We advocate for eco-friendly practices that protect resources, combat climate change, and nurture biodiversity. This ensures long-term viability for farmers and our planet (SDG 2 & 15).
  • Driving Social Equity (SDG 10): AgroCINC goes beyond economics. We challenge gender norms, support youth leadership, and promote inclusive practices. This tackles inequality within and among countries (SDG 10).
  • Environmental Responsibility (SDG 12 & 13): Minimizing our environmental impact is crucial. We prioritize reducing waste, emissions, and water use throughout the supply chain (SDG 12 & 13).

Our founders story

"Growing up in a family of smallholder farmers, I saw the challenges and potential firsthand. AgroCINC is my commitment to change." – Onyeka Ezeoke Founder, AgroCINC.

Born into a generation of smallholder women farmers and having lived through the experiences of my community in West Africa, I have witnessed firsthand the pervasive inefficiencies and systemic obstacles that the majority of smallholder women farmers must navigate in order to survive. More often than not, they are caught in a vicious cycle of non-existent or inefficient farming infrastructure, limited market access, and subsistence-oriented farming, resulting in low yields and insufficient income to cater to their needs or make profitable investments. These factors all contribute to widespread rural poverty.

AgroCINC was conceived as a result of my upbringing in a dusty rural community in West Africa and my firsthand knowledge of how gender prejudice and market forces have consistently operated against women smallholder farmers, leaving them impoverished, hungry, and vulnerable, and in dire need of change.

Having lived with my grandmother, who was a root crop smallholder farmer, I grew up appreciating the necessity and importance of hard work, generosity, perseverance, and teamwork. As women smallholder farmers, they undertake farm work as well as domestic work; therefore, they cannot achieve the same agricultural productivity as men due to their household and societal obligations. Regrettably, with very limited support, they persevere in a failing farming business because farming is all they know, being passed down generationally.

The need for dedicated and specialized support for women smallholder farmers remains the driving force behind building AgroCINC seven years ago. The desire and urgent need to address these existing neglect, gaps, and challenges remain paramount to me, as the objective of empowering women-smallholder-farmers remains a critical component in improving food security in Africa.

Our vision for the future

"A world where every farmer has access to the global market, and every product starts with ethical sourcing."

AgroCINC envisions a thriving future for West African women and youth farmers. This future features empowered individuals leading sustainable agriculture businesses, equipped with knowledge and resources. Eco-friendly practices become the norm, while strong market access ensures fair trade and prosperity.

Education fuels success, leading to vibrant communities with economic opportunity. AgroCINC remains a leader in this positive change, building a future of abundance and a brighter tomorrow.

Together, we can create a future where agriculture is not only productive and profitable but also sustainable, equitable, and empowering for all.
